Job Description

Salary: 20000 to 35000 BDT + Benefits

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Linux System Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Senior Linux System Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our Linux-based systems and servers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers and applications.
  • Monitor system performance and availability to identify irregularities and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve system and network-related problems.
  • Perform routine system updates and apply patches for Linux operating systems.
  • Maintain system documentation and logs.
  • Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, and anti-spam.
  • Contribute to the implementation of system backup and recovery procedures.
  • Support IT projects as assigned.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of the Linux operating system, Linux command-line, and Linux server administration.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols and services (DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.).
  • Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies and methodologies.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
