Job Description
Location: Dubai

Salary: 2500 to 4500AED + Medical Insurance + Employment Visa / Resident permit + Duty food
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Linux System Administrator to join our growing IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based systems and servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and applications across various environments.
- Perform system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration files, installation procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Coordinate with the development and operational teams to optimize system performance and resolve system issues.
- Implement system backup and recovery procedures.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, and anti-spam.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in Linux system administration and recommend innovative solutions when applicable.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior system administrators.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of [5 years] of experience in Linux system administration.
- Advanced knowledge of the Linux operating system, Linux kernel, and Linux command-line.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Xen, or Hyper-V.
- Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Proficient in scripting languages, such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and VPN.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong documentation skills.
